Description
Excavation was undertaken in advance of quarrying, as phase 2 of the existing planning consent. The first stage was undertakin evaluation. The Phase 2 area consited of 1.65ha of arable farmland immediately to the west of the existing quarry. This was evaluated in January 2014 which revealed middle or later Iron Age features (S1).
