Description
Monitoring of below ground works at Bedfield Primary School (MS/1186/00), consisting of demolition and ground levelling along the western edge of the present school and the construction of a new classroom in the south. Three visits were made. Modern soakaways inserted into a 19th century cesspit were observed along the western edge of the site. A large cinder spread of modern date was revealed to the south along the hedge, which is thought to be a backfilled pond (S1).
