Description
2019: An archaeological evalution by means of trenching was undertaken on two adjacent plots of land ; the eastern area was c.2.2ha, and the western area was c.0.08ha. A total of six trenches were excavated measuring approximately 15.00m in length with a width of 1.80m. Natural deposits of sand and gravel were exposed at a depth of 0.38m-0.66m. Archaeological features were revealed in all but on trench, primarily of Roman date. (S1)
