Description
Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out during groundworks in association with the proposed construction of a new detached residential dwelling following demolition of existing outbuildings/garages. The monitoring revealed 19th to 20th century made ground layers, likely relating to the previous use of the site. No archaeological features or finds were present. Although the ground reduction was contained within made ground deposits and the subsoil, the foundation trenches did extend to the natural deposits and therefore had archaeological features been present they would have been revealed.
