Description
Monitoring of stanchion pad ground works for an agricultural building. 21no 1.1m x 1.1m pits were excavated. They revealed between 0.25m of mid brown sandy subsoil on the northern side of the site to 0.6m+ of subsoil in the southern half of the footprint area. Where it was exposed the underlying glaciofluvial deposit was orange sand with flints though a third of the pits did not reach the base of the subsoil.
