Description

2015: Following a trial trench evaluation in 2013, part of a proposed new school site at The Bridge School, Belstead was subject to open area excavation. An area of c.0.29 ha was excavated focussing on the positive results of the evaluation. A uniform layer of plough soil of 0.35m-0.45m thickness sealed a layer of subsoil 0.15m-0.30m thick. The natural sand geology was exposed below. (S1)
