Description
This report has been commissioned by the Whitworth Co-Partnership as part of an investigation into the recent rebuilding of a gable wall at Butchers. It analyses the origin and development of the grade II* listed building, and assesses the impact of the reconstruction on its historic integrity and significance. The survey is based on a site inspection of March 8th 2007, but also refers to a brief visit in June 1999 before the gable was rebuilt.
