Description
Monitoring was carried out during Badger sett removals on the Felixstowe Branch Line
in Trimley St Martin. Most of the area of the two setts removed was located within the
railway embankments. The works impacted up to 1.2m in depth cutting always layers of
embankment material which overlay a truncated loess layer in places and also cutting
into the natural geology in some areas. No archaeological features or finds were
revealed during the works, which is consistent with previous work in the vicinity of this
site.
