Description
A fieldwalking survey was carried out along the proposed route if the Haverhill Southern bypass. The survey area extended for c.2.5km straddling the border between suffolk and Essex. Transect of 80m wide were walked and collection units were 20m square. A clay subsoil was located between 0.25m and 0.30m across the entire length of the survey beneath the ploughsoil.
