Description
Archaeological evaluation in advance of a residential development did not identify any features or finds. Two trial-trenches were machine-excavated in a T-shaped layout under the supervision of a CAT archaeologist. Site stratigraphy was modern topsoil (L1, 0.12-0.31m thick) sealing a buried soil layer (L2, 0.26-0.42m thick) which overlaid natural (L3, encountered at a depth of 0.38-0.73m below current ground level).
