Description
In September 2024, Cotswold Archaeology (CA) carried out a programme of Archaeological Monitoring and Recording during groundworks associated with an extension to hardstanding areas around the Dirt Boyz yard at RAF Lakenheath, Suffolk. The works comprised the reducing of the level of the area to the east and building up of material to the west. The works revealed very disturbed made ground and topsoil being present to depths of over 1m at the eastern end of the site (0.5m removed). No archaeological finds or features were recorded.
