Full Description
Church of St Mary. A church is recorded at Flixton in Domesday Book. The present church was much rebuilt in the C19. The west tower, which fell in 1835, was rebuilt in 1856 by A Salvin; the nave was rebuilt in 1861 and the chancel in 1893. An early C14 N arcade of 4 bays is about all that survives from the medieval church (S1).
