Full Description

The Crankles, site of the abbey's large fish pond complex, SE of abbey (BSE 010). Shown as single `reversed snake twist' channel on Thos Warren's map of Bury in 1776 with further, rectangular, ? fish ponds to the N (within BSE 010)(S1).
