Full Description

Large amount of pottery, including numerous large fragments from the edge of a field (S1). Comprises 0.91kg of unglazed sherds and 2.50kg of part-glazed sherds, all probably Late Medieval & Transitional ware, C15-C16. Forms include jugs, jars, pancheons and the bung-hole from a cistern. Glaze varies from light to dark green and from even coverage to isolated spots, some pieces have underglaze black linear decoration. Also a lava mill stone fragment and some tile fragments.
