Full Description

Looped narrow bladed palstave. Cleaned. Severe corrosion in septum up to stopridge. Stub only of loop survives. Blade edge slightly corroded/ damaged. Trident pattern blade decoration. 15.2cm long, 4.6cm width, 2.7cm thick at stopridge, weight 350gms. Found on ploughsoil surface circa 100m SW of How Hill (IKL 001), about 19-- (S1). Probably Rowlands class 2, group 1, unusual in E Anglia, more common S of Thames (S2).
