Full Description

November 1988: Watching brief between 10 & 12 Quaves Lane. 2m deep construction trenches dug by contractors abandoned as in ditch fill. Bore holes indicated depth of 4 to 4.5m, confirming line of town ditch to N of Quaves Lane and findings of BUN 018. Finds:- one base sherd LMed coarseware and one body sherd stoneware (S1).

Area of ditch plotted along N side of Quaves Lane includes BUN 018.
