Full Description
Circa 1960s: Stone axe-hammer, 16.2cm x 7.5cm, Group XVIII (S137), found at (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)(S1)(S2).
Circa 1967-1987: Scatter of mainly Neo/EBA pottery, burnt and worked flint, animal bone etc, found by C Pendleton from circa 1967 and by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) from circa 1975. Scatter spread over three fields (numbers H5, H6 & H7; OS Fields 7061, 8451 & 9139), relatively dispersed over two to N. Finds include two barbed and tanged arrowheads (RF8 & BB2); a triangular arrowhead (RF5); two tranchet derivative arrowheads? (RF2, RF7); a tanged arrowhead (BB3); a bifacially reworked (with earlier patinated working) bifacial knife (RF6), a plano-convex knife (RF1), pottery including much beaker, at least 25 round scrapers (BB7) and other miscellaneous flintwork etc (S1).
