Full Description

1990-1992: Scatter of worked flint, mainly waste flakes but also 2 scrapers, a saw and a possible knife. Also `lots of pot boilers', ie, heat- crackled flints (S1-S4).

Descriptions of finds are broad, dating to a specific period bracket is ill-advised. However, they may be later Prehistoric, based on older version on this record,Certainly in this instance the character of finds from the rest of the field suggests Iron Age, (S5).

See also BAR 122 (Flint scatter, formerly recorded as misc, same finds?)

Also Iron Age, Roman and Saxon records.

Originally Bardwell parish but, since parish boundary changes, now in Stanton.
