Full Description

Scatter of worked flint, mainly waste flakes, but also a possible knife, a fragment from a flint quern, a scraper and a discoidal core. Found in three main concentrations (see parish file for details)(S1). Probably Late Neo/ Early BA.
1991: More flintwork found, extending the area. Includes a flaked chisel, knives, scraper and quern fragment (S2). Oblique arrowhead also found (S2). Transverse arrowhead found in area centred on TL 9668 7094 (S2). Also IA pottery, BA & Rom.
Originally Bardwell parish but, since parish boundary changes, now in Stanton.
