Full Description
C16 Brome Hall, probably replacement of Ling Hall in same immediate vicinity. Ling Hall first referred to in 1445-1446 (R1) but a Bernard de Ling owned land in Brome in 1209 and a Joan del Lyng is mentioned in 1327 (R2)(S1). Lived in by Cornwallis family - John Cornwallis lived in Brome from circa 1400 (S2). For discussion, see (S1).
