Full Description

`Arnold's Mill. Small tower mill, possibly dating from the C18. It was pulled down about the turn of the century and the stump converted into a diesel driven pump house. It now stands disused. There were four common sails a boat shaped cap with tailpole and an Appold turbine' (S1). First mapped by Hodskinson in 1783, ceased work by 1903 (S2).
