Full Description

All Saint's church, Barrow, is much renewed, it has one Norman window on the N side, a Decorated S aisle with four-bay arcade, the W window a lancet and the E window is Decorated. The N side is all perpendicular. The chancel was renewed in 1848, but the E window is correct. It has three tall single- chamferred stepped lancets under one arch. The piscina & sedilia are both mid C13. The font is Perpendicular, octagonal, with eight shields in panels. Most stalls have poppy-heads. There are some wall paintings & several monuments, tombs, brasses etc (S1).
A church is listed in Barrow in the Domesday book. The church is isolated, to the N of the main village.
