Full Description

1995: Thetford aqueduct pipeline survey and watching brief. A group of shallow dubious undated features filled with a fine purple sand and no finds. Their authenticity is dubious but they had proper edges and were contained within the central area of the field (2000 + 4400 now one field)*. Included in this is a group of worked flints (5 from initial survey, 6 from watching brief), recorded from the western end of the field but with no associated features (S1-S2). *Also 2 worked flints found during initial fieldwalking survey in this area.

Descriptions of flint finds are broad, dating to a specific period bracket is ill-advised. However, they may be later Prehistoric, based on find context, (S2).
