Full Description

December 1991: Four small features were excavated, being discovered after 9m wide topsoil stripping for pipeline. Occasional Rom(?) pottery was found scattered generally on the subsoil surface but no finds were found in the features. The features included:- 2 `deep' pits (i.e. over 40cm) filled with charcoal and light and dark sands; 2 shallow features filled with brown sand (S1). Two further small features were found in the same field, NE of these.
