Full Description
1990: metalwork found on area of bypass route by metal detector, from field (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s). Listed as pelta- shaped plate brooch, enamelled with zoomorphic head terminals. Similar Hattatt 1134, probably C2. Ae coins from same field:- dupondius (?) of Nero AD 54-68; dupondius of Trajan (COSVI), AD 112-7; Faustina II, AD 161- 175; ant of Carausius, AD 286-93; Ae2 Constantine I, London mint, AD 307-13; and follis of Max...., c C4.
