Full Description
May 1993: Trial trenching exposed a number of Med features including post holes, pits and a possible ditch. These were particularly dense at the W end of the site. Pottery, tile and animal bone were recovered from both the features and throughout the topsoil along with a surviving horizon of building debris in the trench section at the S end of the site. Excavation during late May & June recovered occasional sherds of Med pottery and one possible corn drying area. Details in (S2).
Also Rom, Sax & Med.
