Moat, occupied, isolated, on road, part gone (S1).
Portions of a very weak moat at Moat Farm, West End (S2).
Farmhouse dated 1636 (R1).
Moat Farm house has a cream colour-washed pebbledash exterior, with late windows and a reconstructed brick chimney and is not outstanding. A water filled drainage ditch, averaging 2.5m in width encloses the house, except on the W side. It is not, and never has been, a homestead moat, and connects with similar drainage ditches at the NW and NE corner. These extend for considerable distances to E and W (S3).
