Full Description

Minsmere. `Unquestionably flooded peat-cuttings dating back, in charter material, to at least the 12th century' (S1).
Extent of Med peat cuttings unknown. NGR centred to area of Minsmere as defined by Hodskinson as `The Broad' in 1783 (S2).
Note: In 1237 a description of the stretch of coast records the port of Minsmere (S1).
