Full Description
Water mill symbol on River Gipping shown on Hodskinson's 1783 and Bowen' 1755 maps (S1)(S2).
Formerly (now `gutted') had a 12 hp compound beam engine by Wentworth of Wandsworth in 1888 and an 80 hp compound beam engine in 1908 (S3). `All that survives of this once large brick and white weatherboarded mill is the two empty lower storeys, roofed over' (S4).
