Full Description

Neo/EBA stone macehead, probably of quartzite or sandstone. Found by donor on a field at Capel St Mary about 20 years ago (ie circa 1949). Maximum length 3.75 inches, maximum width 2.875 inches. Given by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) (S1).
(S2) indicates that he believed the find spot to be (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) as given above whereas (S1) and all the others which copy it give (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) which would be in East Bergholt parish.
