Full Description
Rom settlement/small town and possible port at Felixstowe. Large area eroded into sea, for example, Walton Short Fort (FEX 030) and inhumation cemetery(?) (FEX 043). HER delineated area approximate to limits of known concentration of finds only but may extend further. For details of Rom finds from area of town see FEX 013, 014, 017, 018, 019, 020, ?021 (?Rom), ?022 (inc roof tile, wall building material, wall foundations, window glass etc), 024, 025 (inc inhumation), ?026, 027, 028 (inc roof & box tile), 036, ?042 (Un inhumations), ?043 (2 inhumations), 046 (road?), 049, 050, 053 (scatter inc inhumations), ?055, 060 (inc box tile), 068, 071, 083 (inc tile), 088 (inc roof, box & floor tiles, ovens, features etc), 092 (cremations?, tiles etc) and various Misc entries.
