Full Description

Metal detected blade end of a `hammer' broken socketed axe with profuse `hammer' marks from Lakenheath area. Also damaged blade edge. Length 5.2cm, width 5. 2cm, thickness 1.9cm. Purchased (finder un-named). Other whole axes (1 palstave, 1 socketed) found by same finder (from same site?)(S1). Drawing in file. Almost definitely part of former hoard/s.
