Full Description
1995: Metal detector find of bronze plate brooch. Main part semi-circular with scalloped edge with punched double ring motifs, rising in two steps to mid blue enamelled centre with traces of at least one small sperical inset. Below main part is a smaller circular setting linked by a short `arm'. This setting cntains white enamel, with a clear central sperical inset. Details and drawing in (S1). Said to be from a new Rom site which has been `night- hawked' by unknown detectorists (S1), although finder was clear that no other Rom finds were detected from field.
August 1996: NGR amended after location marked on map by finder (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) (S1).
Formerly in Brandon, now in Lakenheath parish.
