Full Description

Metal detector finds from small (circa 1 ha) field up to June 1997, include a flat annular brooch with faint inscription and border lines in relief; an Edward groat, half groat and clipped half penny, a (C13?) shoe buckle, a spur fragment and a strapend buckle. Details in (S1).

Evaluation trenching in Dec 200 in advance of woodland planting recovered mixed period finds and scattered features and silt and peat deposits indicating Hooding in the past. (S2)
