Full Description

Section of ditch/water course between the Northgate (BSE 069) and Tayfen Road, after (S1)(S2). Probably part of town defence ditch at NE end, continuing as semi-natural(?) water course ditch W of Tayfen Road & W of Ipswich Street (?) where it probably diverges from the artificial line of the cut town ditch - see BSE 136. Finds from ditch at BSE 137 include an EMed sherd from close to the base of the fill. Also see BSE 016 for part excavation of ditch.
Also PMed.
