Full Description
Section of ditch/water course between the Northgate (BSE 069) and Tayfen Road after (S1)(S2). Probably part of town defence ditch at NE end, continuing as semi-natural(?) water course ditch W of Tayfen Road and W of Ipswich Street (?) where it probably diverges from the artificial line of the cut town ditch see BSE 136. Finds from the ditch at BSE 137 include an EMed sherd from close to the base of the fill. Also see BSE 016 for part excavation of the ditch.
