Full Description
Hanningfields Green. Depicted on a map of 1611 and named as `Henningfeld Greene'. A large pond on the W side of the green in the area of the pumping station at TL 8715 5412 is named as `Hanningfeld Pond' (S1). Green also shown on 1842 tithe map (pond also shown)(S2). Partly enclosed in C19. Green takes it name from the Hanningfield family - see LWL 016. Visible on Hodskinson's map of 1783 as Hinyfields Green (S3).
