Full Description

Bridge to West of Clare Priory shown spanning River Stour on 1575 map (S1). Shown on recent OS maps apparently(?) in the same location as on the 1575 map.
Bridge also shown on maps of 1610 (S2), 1755 (S3) and 1783 (S4).
Existing bridge is a Cast Iron bridge dated 1813, by Ransomes of Ipswich (also see BTE 001). Listed Building (Ref 282928).
