Green shown and named Smiths Green on Hodskinson's 1783 map (S1). Now named Cow Green (N part) and Canham's Green (S part). Bounded by various properties. Various boundary ditches survive. Only small scale infill - see (S2).
Cow Green formerly referred to Calcote Green in the Manorial record (S2). Possibly moat on W side - see BAC 012.
