Full Description
Shipbuilding yard shown on map of 1674 (S1), 1778 (S2) and 1783 (S3). Owned by Barnard (his principal yard) in 1674. Owned by William Bayley 1830, fitted with a patent slip (wheeled carriage on an incline for lifting ships out of the water) (S5). Shown on 1830s plan (S4).
Slips sealed off and filled when Wet Dock constructed 1838 (S6). Relocated to new St Clement's Yard (IPS 271) in 1840s. Later the site of E Packard's Coprolite Works.
