Full Description

Round barrow, site of, depicted and named on OS 1st ed map as `Nine Score Hill' (S1).
`The barrow at TL 6091 6304 called Ninescroft Hill' (S2)(R1). `Ninescore Hill Barrow was destroyed in 1885. It contained two primary inhumations, associated with flint arrowheads and perhaps beakers.... It is now traceable on APs as a ring ditch, 65ft in diameter' (S2)(R2). According to (R2) `it contained .... a secondary inhumation (rather than two primary inhumations?), perhaps AS (Sax).
September 1996: Sited at TL 6091 6304 by Cambs HER. Relocated to TL 6090 6300 approximately after (S1).

Transferred to Suffolk from Cambridgeshire with county boundary changes in April 1995 (S2).
