Full Description

Fragments of the rims of three collared urns found by Dr S E West on building site, not in situ, thrown out by workmen (S3)
1) External rim diameter ll inches, collar 4.25 inches in depth, S-shape in section with concave rim bevel. Collar projects sharply over the body and is decorated with vertical loops of twisted cord marking.
2) External rim diameter 8.5 inches. Collar is convex, with slightly concave rim bevel, and is decorated with 8 rows of twisted cord-marking. 3) External rim diameter 9 inches. Collar is slightly S-shaped with expanded rim bevel and is not decorated (S1).
Cited grid reference TM 084 384 (S2)(S3) incorrect, confirmed as TM 083 384 by S E West.
