Full Description
Gallows site suggested by field names on Tithe map, Hangmans Field (plot 175), Hangman Meadow (174), Upper Hangman (172)(S1). All are within 500m of each other although the valley location appears unlikely for an actual gallows location. A ring ditch (HRT 007) is situated on the side of Lawshall Road. This apears to be a more likely location although this may also have been a mill site.
