Full Description
February 1998: Documentary search and trench evaluation adjoining Cross Green and church (DBN 023) located imported clay layer containing Med pottery immediately above silty natural. Possibly LMed(?) building platform or later imported horizon site occupied by cottages from at least 1521. Details in (S1).
May 1998: monitoring failed to identify further finds - see (S2).
