Full Description
Bridge leading from Abbey to Abbey vineyard, probably medieval, as illustrated in 1741 (S1)(R1). Abuttments still exist.
The remains comprise the twin abutments of a small 16th c. footbridge across the River Lark, built of Tudor brick, and re-inforced with modern brick. There is, however, incorporated into the N. wall of the E. abutment a fragment of flint and mortar walling, possibly the remains of an earlier bridge. (S22)
