Full Description

Ancient woodland as defined in (S1). For details of history and earthworks see (S1), The Suffolk Wildlife Trust, English Nature, the County Council Countryside section and various other Oliver Rackham works including (R1).
Ancient Woodlands containing earthworks in NW quadrant and Roman saltern (CSA 026) in NE quadrant (S2).
LIDAR shows that the earthworks are extensive and on several different alignments, with some probably dating from the Medieval period or earlier
