Full Description

2000: Watching brief on former Howard House, Gippeswyk Avenue. Southern, upslope part of site stripped for car park, no finds/features. Lower, northern part of site partially cellared, also disturbance from former Howard House. No pre-mid 19th Centuryfeatures seen, no finds, good visibility and major proportion of footings seen. Lots of water coming into site from upslope, possibly below springline? (S1-S3).
