Full Description

Staverton Church. Fell into decay in about 1150 and another was built in the new settlement of Eyke(S1). The Domesday vill of Stauertuna was held by Hubert de Montchensey under Robert Malet. His holding included a church with 10 acres.
Location of church unknown. For Staverton Hall (site of) see EKE 009 (sf12243).
