Full Description

Coarse pottery with well defined rims, 1 finger ornament, found in 1909. Castle Hill Field is a low mound in marshy ground. About 1950 investigations by G Sieveking and Lord Medway revealed rammed chalk only (Ipswich Museum note)(S1).
The mark on the SAU map TM 3540 6315.
