Full Description

Circa 3 ha of flint mine complex including large circular (infilled) shafts and gully form mines with surrounding spoil heaps. Some quite large and deep. Appear to relate very closely to SE part of area defined as Elms Covert on 1880s OS map. Quartered black and grey flint present on surface. Note separate area of mines within Elms Covert to N (BRD 168) and NW (BRD 067), to SW (BRD 099) and SE (BRD 098) S1)(S2).
